About Feather and Finch
Born on the Garden Route
There's a particular quality of light along the Garden Route. The way it filters through milkwood trees in the early morning. The way a sunbird pauses mid-flight, catching the warmth before moving on. The way a garden, when tended with care, becomes something alive — not just a space, but a feeling.
Feather & Finch was born from that feeling.
We are a small South African brand with a simple belief: that the spaces we live in — our homes, our gardens, our quiet corners — deserve the same intention and beauty as the natural world that surrounds us.
Made by hand. Always.
Every piece in our collection is handcrafted by skilled makers along the Garden Route — ceramicists who work in small batches, who take the time to hand-paint every swirl and etch every detail, who understand that an imperfection is not a flaw but a fingerprint.
We don't work with factories. We don't do mass production. We source locally, work slowly, and believe that the things worth having are the things worth making properly.
When a Feather & Finch piece arrives at your door, it has been touched by human hands at every stage of its journey — from raw clay to your garden.
For the gardens we love
Our feeders and garden trays are designed to do two things beautifully: enhance your outdoor space, and welcome the birds that make it feel alive.
They are built for outdoors — glazed to weather sun, rain, and wind — but designed with the kind of quiet elegance that makes them feel like they belong, whether hanging in a fynbos garden in Knysna, on a Cape Town stoep, or beneath a jacaranda in Joburg.
They are not decorations. They are invitations — to slow down, to notice, to let a little wildness into your everyday.
Our promise to you
Every order is packed by hand with care. Every piece is inspected before it leaves us. And if something isn't right, we will always make it right.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for choosing slow, considered, South African craft.
